The Great British Bike Ride in 2014 will be staged from Scotland to Twickenham Stadium from Tuesday, Tuesday 2nd – Saturday September 6th 2014. The five day ride is designed for all cycling enthusiasts, sportsmen and women who want to take on a real challenge and at the same time raise some much appreciated funds for highly deserving charities.
Competitors competing in the five day ride will have all accommodation, facilities, food and support provided on route. The GBBR Team aim to take care of everything so that Riders can just concentrate on the event and enjoy the huge challenge ahead of them.
The event concludes with a unique grand finale parade around Twickenham Stadium in front of a capacity crowd at the Aviva Premiership Rugby “London Double Header” on the 7th September 2013.
All 'overnight stops’ will be hosted by local rugby clubs and a tented village will be ready and waiting at the end of each day, with hot food, drinks and the hospitality that only rugby clubs can offer. This exciting event is designed for all competitors to have fun; meet new friends and get a real sense of achievement by competing in and hopefully finishing, The TNT Great British Bike Ride.
The 2013 event will be raising funds for Wooden Spoon, the Children’s Charity of British and Irish rugby. www.WoodenSpoon.com The registration fee is £100 and the minimum pledge is £1000 to be raised over the coming months.
